Powers sets Malvern school record for threes in a game

Malvern junior Maddie Powers finished with 28 points for the Lady Hornets in a basketball matchup against the Harrison Central Huskies.

Powers led the way for Malvern as her team defeated Harrison Central 48-36. Out of her 28, a bulk of her points (18) came from behind the arc. She also finished 6-for-7 at the foul line.

Lanie Bower poured in 13 points for Malvern, shooting 6-for-6 at the foul line.

Aliyah Watson pulled down nine of Malvern’s 34 rebounds.

With the win, Malvern moves to 4-5 on the season.
