UPDATE: The suspect HAS NOT BEEN apprehended by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

The Uniontown Police Department is asking residents to lock themselves in their homes as they urgently attempt to locate a man with a gun.

“We are asking everyone in the area of the UNIONTOWN COMMUNITY PARK, APOLLO ST. & MOONGLO STREET to please stay in your homes and lock your doors,” the department posted on Facebook.

They say there is a white male, wearing a dark hoodie and mask on foot with a firearm.

Summit County SWAT and Uniontown Officers are in the area attempting to locate the subject.

He was on foot from Raber Road and is currently in Uniontown’s jurisdiction.

“We want everyone to be safe and please call 911 if you see anyone matching this description or anything suspicious,” the post read.
