The man killed in a Canton fire earlier this week has been identified as 66-year-old Frank Campbell.

In the early hours of Wednesday at 1:27 a.m. on May 1, the Canton Fire Department responded to a call at 200 Lincoln Ave NW, discovering a structure fire in a two and a half story residential building.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered significant flames engulfing the front of the house. When entering the premises to combat the blaze, they came across the lifeless body of Campbell concealed behind the entrance.

The investigation unveiled clues suggesting the fire was intentionally ignited. Authorities urge individuals in possession of pertinent details to reach out to the Canton Fire Department at 330-649-5900 or the State Fire Marshall at 800-589-2728.
