A 19-year-old man from Beach City in Stark County has lost his life in a two-vehicle crash in Holmes County, according to Holmes County Sheriff Tim Zimmerly.

The fatal incident occurred around 5:18 p.m. Wednesday on State Route 515 at the intersection of County Road 168 in Walnut Creek Township.

Adam E. Miller, 19, was identified as the victim and was pronounced dead at the scene by Paint Township (Winesburg) EMS. Miller was riding a 2014 Kawasaki Motorcycle at the time of the collision.

Preliminary investigations by deputies revealed that Miller, traveling southbound on State Route 515, collided with a 2011 Dodge Ram Pickup driven by an 88-year-old man from Sugarcreek. Investigators say the man pulled into Miller’s path from a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 168, leading to the impact that caused Miller to be ejected from his motorcycle.

Both vehicles remained at the scene following the crash. Miller was wearing a helmet, and the other driver had his seatbelt on during the incident. Authorities do not suspect impairment from either driver.

The intersection was shut down for several hours as authorities investigated the crash. Deputies continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Emergency responders from Paint Township (Winesburg) Fire and EMS, Holmes County Coroner Dr. Leon Miller, and Holmes County Prosecuting Attorney Matt Muzic were on-site to assist with the accident.
