Just after 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Massillon Police were alerted to the presence of an explosive device inside Massillon High School.
The threat came in the form of a phone call to the school’s administrative office, prompting immediate response from school administrators. Acting efficiently, the administrators quickly evacuated students and staff to a designated area outside the school premises.
Upon receiving the report, the Massillon Police Department arrived at the scene. According to the school, the threat has been deemed a hoax.
