Police have arrested a student accused of making a threat that forced Massillon Washington High School to evacuate Tuesday morning.
A call was made to the school that an explosive device was on the school property. The school was promptly evacuated to investigate the threat.
Massillon Police arrived to the school and helped search the building, which was cleared a short time later.
District superintendent Paul Salvino said the incident was a hoax and part of a nationwide prank called “swatting.”
