Authorities have identified the victim who lost his life in Thursday’s fatal shooting in Alliance as Chris Blue, 49, of Alliance.
The shooting happened in the 100 block of N. Mechanic Ave around 5:10 p.m.
The suspect, Bobby Bradford, 71, of S. Sawburg Ave in Alliance, was taken into custody by law enforcement officials on the sidewalk near the shooting.
According to Alliance Police, Bradford had allegedly made his way to the 100 block of N Mechanic Ave. with premeditation, where he confronted the victim about a personal issue regarding a relative of the suspect.
During the confrontation, Bradford allegedly retrieved a .38 special revolver from his pants pocket and proceeded to discharge it four times at the victim. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and died.
The firearm used by the suspect was seized as evidence after being discovered in his front right pocket.
Bradford was then transported to the Alliance City Jail for processing. He was later transferred to the Stark County Jail and charged with Aggravated Murder.
The murder of Blue remains under investigation.
