A Summit County Grand Jury continues to meet in connection to the shooting death of 25-year-old Jayland Walker.
Walker was shot dozens of times last June while the 25-year-old attempted to flee police. Eight Akron officers fired their guns at the unarmed Black man who was running away from officers were shots rang out.
The grand jury hearing the case reconvened Monday morning to hear more evidence in the case.
Activists have taken to the streets for peaceful protests ahead of the decision, but the city has restricted access to public buildings in case protests turn violent after the decision.
The University of Akron has moved all downtown class to virtual until further notice.
