Waynesburg woman suffers life-threatening injuries in motorcycle crash

The Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a one-vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred on April 28th, at 4:45 p.m. The incident took place on State Route 43 near Otto Road SE in Canton Township, Stark County.

The motorcycle involved was a 1968 Harley Davidson Electra Glide operated by Kathryne Moreland, 63, of Waynesburg, Ohio, who was traveling southbound on State Route 43.

According to authorities, Moreland lost control of the motorcycle while traveling southbound, resulting in her falling onto the roadway.

Canton Township EMS transported Moreland to Aultman Hospital with life-threatening injuries. As of the latest update, she remains in serious condition.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with authorities stating that alcohol and drug use are not believed to be factors.

It was also reported that Moreland was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The Canton Township Fire Department assisted at the scene with traffic control.
