Amber Alert issued after car stolen in Wayne County with sleeping 2-year-old inside

(Update: The Amber Alert has been canceled. The boy was found safe and the suspect has been arrested.)

An Amber Alert has been activated for a 2-year-old boy who was sleeping in the rear of a pickup truck when it was stolen on Friday afternoon in Marshallville in Wayne County.

The missing child, Sutton Eggeman, stands at 2 feet tall, weighs 35 pounds, and possesses distinctive features such as blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen clad in fuzzy green attire, a jacket showcasing a gray frog emblem on the left, and black Under Armour socks with tears at the bottom. Eggeman was barefoot at the time of his disappearance.

The incident occurred when a black 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, bearing license plate number JTC9063, was snatched from a Dollar General at 62 S. Main St. around 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1, as per the issued alert.

Authorities have highlighted the suspect as a white male of moderate height and a slender build, donning a black cap during the incident.
