After a manhunt in Uniontown’s park last week, authorities arrested the 48-year-old suspect on Sunday afternoon. Raymond Klisz was taken into custody and booked into Summit County Jail at approximately 2 p.m.

The Uniontown Police Department issued a shelter-in-place order on Saturday, April 27, following an incident that led to the evacuation of a park.

According to Summit County Inspector Bill Holland, Klisz violated a protection order in Green City by entering a residence where he pointed a gun at an individual before damaging a vehicle on the property. He then fled into a wooded area upon the deputies’ arrival, reportedly armed.

Klisz’s actions prompted the shelter-in-place order at Uniontown Community Park and its vicinity, forcing the evacuation of a baseball game at the park as detailed in a court affidavit.
