After nearly a month of diligent efforts, on November 30, the human remains were positively identified as those of 27-year-old Katie Ann Fuller from Stark County. Fuller had been reported missing by her family to the Canton Police Department, who had last made contact with her on September 9.
Authorities have not found any evidence suggesting that Fuller experienced any trauma prior to her death. Her family has disclosed that she struggled with substance abuse. Determining the exact cause of death will require further investigation, involving extensive autopsy procedures, forensic testing, and toxicology analysis. It is expected that this process may take several months.
In light of this development, the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office will collaborate with Stark County Law Enforcement to gather more information and ascertain the circumstances surrounding Katie’s passing.
