Two Wayne County teens killed in single-vehicle crash

Two teenagers lost their lives in a tragic car accident during the early hours of Saturday morning, as reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The incident occurred in Ripley Township of Wayne County on State Route 514, according to troopers.

Law enforcement officials stated that the single-car crash took place around 2:30 a.m. The vehicle veered off the right side of the road, subsequently colliding with a ditch and culvert. The car caught fire, engulfing it completely, as confirmed by authorities.

The driver, identified as 18-year-old Aaron James Casey from Wayne County, was pronounced deceased at the scene by troopers. The passenger, 18-year-old Kody Adams from Wooster, also was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers noted that neither of the occupants appeared to have been wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
