The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down Friday afternoon on Leesville Lake in Carroll County.
A “brief, small tornado blew down a couple of trees and caused damage to multiple docks of pontoon boats at a marina as it moved over the water,” the National Weather Service said in their report.
The tornado, which was captured on video by Keith Ott, touched down around 1:30 pm Friday, May 17. In the video, you could see the wind pick up over the water before destroying a dock and other things in its path.
