An Alliance man with an address of E. Summit is behind bars after allegedly breaking into an apartment and attacking a woman.
According to an Alliance Police report, Joshua Lackey, 31, entered an apartment in the city with a loaded 9mm.
Lackey allegedly made entry into the apartment without permission. Once in the apartment, he attacked the woman, which included striking her in the head several times in an effort to knock her out.
JMN is not going to publish all of the details, most of which are graphic in nature, of the attack. Lackey allegedly pointed the gun at the victim.
Lackey was arrested on the charges of Attempt to Commit Rape F2, Agg Burglary F1, Strangulation F3, and Agg Menacing M1. He is currently in the Stark County Jail.
Lackey is set to appear in court at 1pm on Oct. 6.
