A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Alliance Sunday afternoon.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was contacted for assistance regarding an officer-involved shooting around 2pm by Alliance Police.
The shooting happened at a home along South Linden Ave.
A family member of the man who was shot by police posted to social media saying saying the man was “holding someone hostage with a knife” and the situation resulted in an Alliance police officer shooting and killing the armed individual.
No officers were injured.
