Local police officers are investigating the sudden death of a one-year-old boy.
According to the Akron Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Hancock Ave in Akron for cardiac arrest involving a child. The first officer on the scene found the young boy and provided CPR until EMS arrived.
The child was transported to Akron Children’s Hospital until where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they have interviewed several people, analyzed evidence, and are awaiting further testing.
The details surrounding the death of the child remain under investigation.
