A tense situation unfolded at a BP gas station located at 1120 N. Tuscarawas Ave in Dover when a male customer reportedly threatened a clerk with a gun during a transaction, according to the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s report.
The incident occurred when the male customer entered the store Wednesday morning and requested to purchase a Black and Mild, a type of cigar. However, when the clerk scanned the item, the customer expressed dissatisfaction with the price and claimed to have a gun.
In response to the threat, the clerk made the decision to de-escalate the situation and offered to cover any remaining cost for the product. The customer then took the Black and Mild and left the store.
