Selections for the 2022-23 All-Inter-Valley Conference boys’ basketball team were released on Wednesday.

The picks, as voted on by IVC coaches, included a pair of sweeps in the conference’s top individual honors.

Malvern’s J’Allen Barrino was named the IVC North Player of the Year, while Garaway’s Alex Roden and Sandy Valley’s Dantae Faiello were named IVC South Co-Players of the Year. Dennis Tucci (Malvern) and Gary Offenberger (Sandy Valley) were named as Coaches of the Year in the North and South, respectively.

Barrino joined fellow junior Mitch Minor as one of two Hornets first-teamers and four overall all-conference picks for the IVC North champions. On the South side, Roden was joined by Pirates seniors Brady Roden, Drew Mullet (Second Team), and Logan Yoder (Honorable Mention), while Faiello was paired with Cardinals senior Jordan Wigfield (First Team), junior Nick Petro (Second Team), and sophomore Lukas Gilland.

Indian Valley managed the most All-IVC players among both divisions, with five players – Isaac Klaserner, Tyson Pryor (1st); Brayden Troyer, Reese Coulson (2nd); and Leo Wenger (H.M) – selected. Other top picks between the divisions were: Buckeye Trail senior Garret Burga; Conotton Valley senior Gaige Galigher; East Canton junior Caleb Shilling; Strasburg freshman Gage Moore; Tuscarawas Central Catholic senior Jordan Cherry; Hiland junior Sammy Detweiler; and Tusky Valley senior Silas Miller.
