Louisville man arrested for Stark County arson

A 31-year-old Louisville man was arrested on charges of arson Friday evening.

Stark County Sheriff deputies and the Plain Township Fire Department were dispatched to the 2800 block of Fairmount Street NE for the report of a structure fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and there were found to be no injuries.

Through investigation, the Plain Township Fire Department learned the fire was started as a result of arson. The fire department and the sheriff’s office identified a suspect.

Anthony Michael Carr, 31, of Louisville, was arrested at his home and charged with one count of aggravated arson, a felony of the first degree. He was also found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for a parole violation.

The case remains under investigation by the Stark County Sheriff’s Office and the Plain Township Fire Department. The Sheriff’s Office is requesting that anyone with information on this incident please contact them at (330) 430-3800.
