No. 3 Dover’s Division I tournament run came to an end with a 3-0 loss to No. 11 North Canton Hoover in Tuesday’s Canton District semifinal at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium.

The Vikings scored in the top of the 2nd inning on a Deacon Heather sacrifice fly and doubled their lead in the third on an RBI single by Luke Roach off Crimson Tornadoes starter Ayden Hall. Ty Sowers added insurance with a run-scoring double in the final inning.

Hoover (17-7) will return to Munson for Thursday’s District finals at 5 p.m. against No. 16 Boardman, who upset No. 6 Uniontown Lake, 1-0, in a 9-inning Tuesday afternoon affair.

Dover’s season ends at a 21-4 record.

HARRISON CENTRAL 2, COSHOCTON 0

Harrison Central lefty Tre Rex totaled 19 strikeouts in a no-hitter against No. 7 Coshocton to send the Huskies to the Division III East District finals.

No. 3 Harrison Central will play No 6 Ridgewood in the Thursday’s District final (5 p.m.) at Indian Valley High School in Gnadenhutten.

RIDGEWOOD 3, MARTINS FERRY 0

Sixth-seeded Ridgewood upset top seed Martins Ferry in the Division III East District semifinals on Tuesday at Mazeroski Field in Cadiz.

The Generals will play Harrison Central in Thursday’s East District championship (5 p.m.), while the Purple Riders’ record stands at 17-4.

HILAND 11, FRONTIER 1 (5 INN.)

Hiland needed just five innings to beat fourth-seeded Frontier in Tuesday’s Division IV East District semifinal at Cambridge’s Don Coss Field.
