MINERVA, Ohio (JMN Sports) – The New Philadelphia Quakers turned an early 2-0 deficit into a 6-2 lead after the third inning in their 8-4 Monday night victory at Minerva in the Division I District baseball semifinals.
Brenton Billman earned the pitching win for the fifth-seeded Quakers, while Ty Householder started for Indian Creek in the season-ending loss.
The Quakers (15-9) will move on to play 13-seed West Holmes on Wednesday (5 p.m.) at Sandy Valley High School.
