HS Boys Basketball Tuesday: Dover surges late vs Lake; Aljancic breaks Louisville 3-pointer record vs Canton South

T.C. Molk totaled 23 points and three steals as Dover won their ninth straight contest in a 60-44 final over the Lake Blue Streaks on Tuesday.

The Crimson Tornadoes (12-1) were also led by Ayden Hall (nine points, seven rebounds, five assists), Ben Hamm (nine points, five rebounds) and Mikey Beal (nine points, six rebounds).

The Blue Streaks fell to 9-4 with the loss.

LOUISVILLE 71, CANTON SOUTH 37

Louisville took care of Canton South in a Tuesday matchup, behind a record-breaking performance by Will Aljancic.

The junior nailed nine 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 33 points.

Aljancic’s nine treys bested the previous record (8) held by Brandon Wahl and Aljancic’s senior teammate, Tyler Boldon.

The Leopards also extended their winning streak against the Wildcats to seven, the longest such streak in the two schools’ history.

TUSCARAWAS VALLEY 67, TUSLAW 50

The Tusky Valley Trojans advanced to 10-4 on the season with a win over Tuslaw on Tuesday.

Logan Stotzer (19 points, five asissts), Silas Miller (14 points, five rebounds, three steals), and Cody Robinson (12 points).
Nathan Frascone scored 15 points to lead the Mustangs, who dropped to 8-6.


CENTRAL CHRISTIAN 65, EAST CANTON 53

Tyler Bonner led all scorers with 30 points as Central Christian powered past East Canton on Tuesday night.

The Comets also received 12 points from Andrew Miller, while Thatcher Roher totaled 11 points.

The Hornets fell to 3-10 with the loss.

WAYNEDALE 52, RITTMAN 37

Josiah Raber totaled 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Golden Bears to a Tuesday night victory over Rittman High School.

Trey Barkman led Waynedale with 21 points, while Gavin Spitler pitched in 12 points for the Bears (6-6).

Bryce Holmes and Jonah Carr scored 10 points apiece for the Indians. Holmes also grabbed eight rebounds.
