In the latest Ohio girls high school basketball poll released on Tuesday by the Associated Press, Dresden Tri-Valley and Apple Creek Waynedale rose through their respective rankings.
Tri-Valley (14-1) placed third in the Division II standings, while Waynedale (12-0) took a tie for third place in the Division III poll.
The Scotties have won six consecutive games since their 68-64 loss to the New Philadelphia Quakers on Dec. 20, while the Golden Bears (who tied with 14-1 Arcanum in the Division III rankings) are coming off a 56-25 win over Dalton back on Jan. 13.
Tri-Valley’s next scheduled game comes on Saturday, Jan. 22 against the Crooksville Ceramics (2-7), while Waynedale will play at Chippewa (12-4).
Meanwhile, Alliance Marlington remained in ninth place in the Div. II standings after suffering their second loss of the year in a 45-40 decision to Louisville. The Lady Dukes currently sit at 12-2 ahead of a Wednesday home matchup against the Carrollton Warriors (7-7).
