The Ohio State Highway Patrol of Canton is investigating a two-vehicle accident that left a Canton man dead Saturday evening.
Officials say Shannon L. Wilburn, 48, of Canton was driving a 1993 Ford pickup truck northbound on State Route 43 just north of Indian Run Avenue SE. He went left of center and struck John C. Albright II’s 2007 Ford Taurus head-on.
Wilburn sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Alcohol is an expected factor in the crash.
Albright sustained serious injuries during the crash. He was transported from the scene to Mercy Medical Center by emergency squad.
The crash remains under investigation.
