The Center for Disease Control (CDC) is investigating the death of an Oregon woman who developed blood clots after she received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The vaccine was put on pause after rare blood clots were developed by six recipients.

The woman, who is in her 50s, developed low platelets and blood clots under two weeks after getting the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

More than 6.8 million Americans were given the shot before the CDC put the vaccine on pause after six people developed clots.
