Rapper Silento, who’s real name is Ricky Hawk, was arrested on murder charges Monday afternoon, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

Hawk, 23, was charged in the alleged shooting death of his cousin Frederick Rooks, 34, last month.

Rooks was found with multiple gunshots wounds January 21 and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they discovered surveillance video of multiple cars fleeing the scene and later connected Hawk as the alleged shooter.

Hawk, mostly known for his song “Watch Me Whip/Nae Nae,” was arrested and is currently booked in the DeKalb County Jail. No motive for the shooting has been determined.
