Firefighters responded to a carport fire involving multiple vehicles Tuesday at the Lake Cable Village Apartments.
Crews from the Jackson Township Fire Department were dispatched to the complex on Feb. 10, where fire conditions required a defensive firefighting operation. Fire officials said the focus of the response was to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby apartment buildings.
The entrance to the apartment complex is completely blocked while crews worked the scene and ensure no fire or structural damage occurred to the buildings. Residents are asked to avoid the area as emergency operations continued.
No injuries were immediately reported.
The Ohio State Fire Marshal has been notified, and the incident remains under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
