A 35-year-old Minerva woman was killed Saturday evening when a tree fell onto her vehicle as she traveled along U.S. Route 30 just outside Minerva, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at approximately 5:24 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, near milepost 28 in Paris Township, Stark County.
According to the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Bridget E. Reagan, 35, was driving a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer westbound on U.S. 30 when a tree fell from a wooded area north of the roadway and struck her vehicle.
Reagan was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were reported to have been involved in the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Ohio Department of Transportation, Sandy Creek Joint Fire District, Stark County Coroner’s Office and Rocky’s Towing and Recovery.
The crash remains under investigation by the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
