A 29-year-old man from East Canton died early Dec. 3 after his pickup truck crashed on Interstate 70 in Guernsey County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Cambridge post.

Troopers said the single-vehicle crash happened around 3:14 a.m. on I-70 westbound near milepost 174. Investigators reported that Hayden Miller was driving a Chevrolet Silverado when the truck drifted off the right side of the interstate and hit a bridge railing. The impact caused the vehicle to roll over before coming to rest against an embankment.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency crews from New Concord Fire and EMS, Cassel Station Fire and EMS, the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted troopers at the site.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
