Area girls basketball standouts earn Division I, II and III All-Ohio honors

Several area athletes from Stark and surrounding counties earned recognition on the 2026 All-Ohio girls basketball teams, as announced Tuesday by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association.

The honors, based on regular-season performance and statewide voting by media members, featured multiple standout players from programs including Canton McKinley, Massillon Jackson, Massillon Washington, and others across the region.

Leading the way locally was Maddie Lepley of Massillon Jackson, who secured first-team All-Ohio honors in Division I after averaging 18.3 points per game during her senior season. Teammate Ashley Helle added special mention recognition, while Ava Kouri was named honorable mention.

Canton McKinley senior Mya Taylor also earned Division I second-team honors after posting an impressive 22.8 points per game. Teammate K’Lynn Carter was named honorable mention.

In Division II, Massillon Washington sophomore Delaney Pierce emerged as one of the top players in the state, earning first-team All-Ohio honors with a 26.7 scoring average. Teammate Hannah Nicola received honorable mention recognition.

Massillon Perry’s Lila Kleve was named to the Division II second team after averaging 15.5 points per game, while North Canton Hoover senior Zoe McCort earned third-team honors. Hoover’s Aubrey Fisher was also recognized with honorable mention.

In Division III, Uniontown Lake senior Hayden Croyle received special mention honors, joined by Savanna Horning, who was named honorable mention.

The Dover and New Philadelphia programs were also represented, as Dover’s Ansley Bolon and New Philadelphia’s Aubrie Wells earned special mention recognition. Additional honorable mention honors went to New Philadelphia players Khloe Sours and Abbey Sweitzer.

Louisville senior Maggie Baker also picked up honorable mention recognition in Division III.

The All-Ohio teams are selected from nominations submitted by seven districts across the state and recognize the top performers in each division.

The OPSMA will announce the boys basketball All-Ohio teams later this week.
