The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred Monday evening in Lexington Township.
Deputies responded around 6 p.m. on Oct. 13 to the 14400 block of Iowa Avenue NE (State Route 183) after receiving reports of a rollover crash. When they arrived, they found that the driver of a 2007 Buick LaCrosse had been ejected from the vehicle.
Investigators say the vehicle was traveling northbound on Iowa Avenue NE when it veered off the right side of the road and rolled multiple times.
The driver, identified as Shantelle Watson, 31, of Alliance, was transported to Aultman Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The Canton Metro Crash Team, Alliance Fire Department, and Lexington Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
