The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Carroll County that claimed the life of a man from Malvern.

The two-vehicle crash happened on County Road 10 in Augusta Township, Carroll County. The incident, pccured on Wednesday, March 20, at 7:05 PM, involved a northbound 2010 Ford Escape driven by 26-year-old Dakota Kincaid of East Rochester and a southbound 2020 Chrysler Voyager operated by 71-year-old Patrick Snow of Malvern.

Troopers say Kincaid’s Ford Escape crossed the center line, colliding with Snow’s Voyager before veering off the road, striking a tree, and overturning. Snow’s vehicle came to a stop off the right side of the road.

Kincaid sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital, while Snow, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at Aultman Hospital.

Responders from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Augusta Fire Department, Sandy Creek Fire Department, EMT, McNinch Towing, and Prendergast Towing provided assistance at the scene.

Alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
