Two men, aged 19 and 22, were shot today just before 3:00 p.m. in an attempted robbery on 19th Street S.W.
The younger man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim reported that the assailants brandished firearms during the robbery, prompting him to defend himself by firing shots, striking both suspects.
The older suspect fled with a leg wound but later sought medical help at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center.
Names of the individuals involved have not been disclosed pending further investigation. Detectives are actively reviewing the case, with potential charges awaiting the investigation’s conclusion.
