The Smith Township Police Department is investigating an apparent homicide of a woman from the Beloit area.
Just after 3pm Thursday, officers and medical personnel were dispatched to 18000 block of Courtney Road in Smith Township for a “medical call.” When officers arrived, they located a resident of the home deceased.
The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Gena M. Wade.
The cause of her fatal injuries have not been disclosed by investigators.
The Mahoning County homicide task force, and the Ohio BCI are assisting with the investigation.
