Minerva Local cancels school following night of storms, power outages

Local students are getting an unexpected day off just a few days into the school year.

Strong storms ripped through Stark County and surrounding areas Thursday night into Friday morning.

Minerva Local Superintendent Gary Chaddock said the district has canceled school for Friday, August 25 due to power being out at the school buildings.
