Woman critically injured in hit-skip crash while riding bike

A 30-year-old female cyclist was involved in a hit-and-run accident on E. 91st St in Cleveland Thursday morning. The Cleveland Police are now actively investigating the case and seeking information from the public to aid in identifying the responsible party.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., the cyclist was riding northbound on E. 91st St. when she made an attempt to cross Superior Ave. outside of the designated crosswalk. She collided with the right side of a Dodge Challenger that was traveling eastbound at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 35 mph.

Following the collision, the Dodge Challenger immediately fled the scene, speeding east on Superior Ave.

As a result of the collision, the victim sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The exact nature and extent of her injuries have not been disclosed at this time.
