Starting Monday, June 5, motorists in Malvern will face significant disruption as State Route 43 shuts down for a period of 120 days. The closure is necessary to facilitate a crucial bridge deck replacement project.
As per the official announcement, the designated detour route will redirect traffic from SR 43 southbound to SR 171 westbound. From there, motorists will proceed on SR 171 west until reaching SR 43 (SR 183), where they will make a reverse turn. This marked detour will be in effect for the entire duration of the project.
The anticipated completion date for the project is set for October 31, 2023. Drivers are urged to plan their commutes accordingly and allow for additional travel time during the construction period.
The bridge deck replacement project aims to enhance the infrastructure’s overall safety and ensure the continued functionality of State Route 43.
