Husband, wife facing charges in Canton attempted murder case

A 36 year old Canton man has been hospitalized with serious life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times.

According to Canton Police, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Rowland Ave. N.E. for reports of a shooting Wednesday at 3:10 p.m. When they arrived, they located Melvin Stevenson, 36, of Canton, laying unresponsive in a gravel driveway with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body.

Stevenson was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

Officers quickly identified two suspects and their locations by using the department’s camera system.

Errol Frank, 29, was arrested and charged with Attempt to Commit Murder. Tricia Stevenson-Frank, 29, has been with Obstructing Justice. Both suspects live in the 1900 block of Morris Ave NE. A search warrant was executed at their home.
