The Perry Township Police Department is handling the investigation a possible child abduction that occurred Sunday.
Police were first dispatched to 4000 block of Lincoln Way East, according to police.
With the help of the Akron Police Department, the child was located unharmed.
“I would like to stress that during the course of the investigation, investigators determined this to be an isolated incident,” said Sergeant Chad Guist.
The department did not release the age of the alleged victim or say whether a suspect was in custody.
