3-year-old Stark County child killed by vehicle backing out of driveway

Canton police and the county coroner’s office continue investigating the tragic death of a 3-year-old boy over the weekend, according to reports from WHBC.

A coroner’s investigator says Malakhi Williams, 3, was on a tricycle on Second Street when he was run over by an SUV apparently backing up from his driveway.

Family members took the young child in the SUV to Aultman Hospital where the coroner’s investigator pronounced him dead.

That incident from Saturday afternoon remains under investigation.
