The Canton Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a city man Thursday night.
Chief John Gabbard said his department was dispatched to the 1800 block of 4th St N.W. for a shooting around 10:20 pm. When officers arrived to the scene, they located Craig Blackshear, 45, of Canton, with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and legs, laying on the porch.
Blackshear was transported to Aultman Hospital, by Canton Fire Paramedics, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased at 10:54P.M.
No arrests have been made at this time.
