A 53-year-old Uniontown man pleaded guilty this week to murder-for-hire charges.

Scott Allen Renninger is accused of meeting with a person posing as a ‘hitman’ in the fall of 2020, according to court records. Renninger allegedly provided the ‘hitman’ a photograph of the victim, the victim’s address and vehicle’s license plate number.

Investigators said that Renninger planned to pay $20,000 for the hitman to commit the murder of the targeted victim.

Renninger, who was arrested in November of 2020, is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
