Five IVC Scholar Athlete Awards given to local student-athletes

The Inter-Valley Conference has announced five local student-athletes as recipients of the 2021-22 Scholar Athlete Award.

Each winner was selected using a Rubric system “adopted by the Principals of the IVC.”

The overall winner was Tuscarawas Central Catholic’s Gina Sciaretti, who will receive a $2000 scholarship stipend.

Fellow Saint Zane Douglass received a $1000 scholarship, along with Garaway’s Brendan Chapman, Malvern’s Lanie Bower, and Tuscarawas Valley’s Ashley Merrick.
