ATHENS, Ohio (JMN Sports) – Garaway shot 9-of-12 from the 3-point line and Drew Mullet drilled a team-record nine ‘treys’ in the Pirates’ 64-45 Wednesday night victory over Wheelersburg in the Division III Region 11 semifinal at Ohio University’s Convocation Center.
Mullet and Alex Roden combined for 51 points to lead Garaway, as Mullet scored 27 and Roden scored 24.
Josh Clark scored 17 points for Wheelersburg, while Jackson Schwamburger followed with eight points for the Pirates.
Garaway will return to Athens to take on Columbus Africentric in Saturday’s regional final, which tips off at 1 p.m. Africentric won their Tuesday semifinal, 51-43, over Proctorville Fairland.
