NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio (JMN Sports) – Matt Voll is stepping down as New Philadelphia High School’s boys’ basketball coach after six seasons.
According to The Times-Reporter, Voll announced his resignation to the team’s players on Thursday.
Voll took over the boys’ program in 2016, after he spent two seasons as New Philadelphia’s girls’ basketball coach. In eight seasons between the two New Phila teams, Voll won 139 games and earned a combined three District titles. This past season, Voll guided the Quaker boys to a 17-8 record and a Division II District semifinal loss to Meadowbrook.
Between stops at Waynesfield-Goshen, West Holmes, Carrollton, and New Philadelphia, Voll compiled a 385-211 record over 25 coaching seasons.
