New Philadelphia’s girls’ basketball team dropped a 44-43 decision to Mansfield Senior on the Lady Quakers’ Senior Night at New Philadelphia High School.

The Quakers dropped to 16-4 ahead of their Division I Sectional tournament contest on Thursday, Feb. 17.

MALVERN 82, TORONTO 43

The Lady Hornets improved to 11-10 with a 39-point Senior Night win over Toronto High School.

Lanie Bower scored a game-high 26 points, followed by Maddie Powers’s 22 points.

LOUISVILLE 58, CANTON CENTRAL CATHOLIC 40

The Louisville Leopards finished the regular season at 15-6 with a Thursday night win at Canton Central Catholic.

Freshman Courtney Barwick finished with a game-high 16 points for Louisville, while Brooke Haven scored 10 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

STRASBURG 60, CONOTTON VALLEY 21

Strasburg celebrated its Senior Night in good fashion with a blowout win over Conotton Valley.

Senior Landon Potopsky led the Tigers (13-6, 9-3 IVC North) with 14 points, followed by Joe Fischer’s 12 points. Noah Doerschuk added 10 points for Strasburg.

The Rockets dropped to 6-12 overall and 2-9 in the North.

The two teams will meet again in the Division III Sectional tournament on Feb. 22.

SANDY VALLEY 58, CLAYMONT 54

The Sandy Valley Cardinals took a close Senior Night contest over Claymont.

The Cardinals improved to 7-13 (1-10 IVC South).

Brody Moreland scored 15 points to lead the Mustangs (3-16, 1-11 South).

WEST HOLMES 49, TRIWAY 35

West Holmes’ boys’ squad bested Triway High School in a Thursday night affair.

Mason Wolfe scored a game-high 17 points, while Channer Wells added 12 points for the Knights,
