Sandy Valley High School’s girls’ basketball team pulled out a 56-52 victory over Fairless High School on Monday night in Magnolia.

Lexi Tucci scored a Cardinals-high 20 points and tabbed 11 rebounds, while Abbey Parker added 12 points for S.V. (8-2).

The Falcons were led by Grace Lyon’s 18 points, while Zoey Steele and Gracie Ashton added 12 points each.

MALVERN 57, EAST CANTON 53 (OT)

The Malvern Hornets edged East Canton in overtime in a Monday IVC North contest.

Malvern (5-5, 3-2 IVC) was led by Maddie Powers’s 29 points, while Emma Debo added 14 and Lanie Bower posted 12 for the victors.

East Canton (3-8, 3-3 IVC) was led by Tori Reichard with 17 points, while Brooke Chastain added 16 and Samantha Monter contributed 11.

WEST MUSKINGUM 45, RIDGEWOOD 35

West Muskingum High School recorded a 10-point victory over Ridgewood on Monday.

Brooke Pauley tallied 19 points as Muskingum moved to 8-4 for the season.

The Generals fell to 3-7.

BOYS BASKETBALL

TUSCARAWAS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 69, NEWCOMERSTOWN 31

TCC moved to 3-2 in the IVC and 4-3 overall after a blowout win over Newcomerstown on Monday.

Kayden Crosier scored 17 points to lead the Saints while Jordan Cherry pitched in 16 points.

The Trojans fell to 0-8 (0-6 IVC) with the loss.
