Strasburg bested Buckeye Trail High School in four sets (25-17, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22) on Thursday.

Paige Garren had 15 points, 14 digs, and seven kills, while Emma Gilkerson had 14 points, 10 digs, and six aces for the Tigers.

TUSCARAWAS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 25-25-25, MALVERN 10-10-18

T.C.C. picked up a straight-sets win over Malvern on Thursday.

The Hornets fell to 0-8 (0-3 IVC) with the loss.

SALEM 24-13-25-25-16, CARROLLTON 26-25-17-22-14

Carrollton took the first two sets of their Thursday match against Salem but failed to finish in what became a five-set victory for the Quakers.

Alli Stackhouse led the Warriors in points (17) and kills (11).

Carrollton fell to 2-10 (1-3 EBC).

NORTH CANTON HOOVER 25-23-25-26, LOUISVILLE 12-25-13-24

The Hoover Vikings topped Louisville in Thursday’s volleyball match.

Hoover advanced to 3-1, while the Leopards fell to 4-6.

BOYS GOLF

OHIO VALLEY ATHLETIC CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

Dover’s boys’ golf team finished in fourth place at the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference tournament at Oglebay on Thursday.

Carter Begue landed All-Tournament honors by shooting an 82.

CARROLLTON 155, MINERVA 170

The Warriors spoiled Minerva’s senior night at Great Trail with a 15-stroke road match victory.

Carrollton moved to 14-0 (12-0 EBC) with the win.

Logan Good shot a career-best 39 in the Lions’ defeat, while Connor Good had a 42.

GARAWAY 149, INDIAN VALLEY 180

Garaway’s senior night was capped by a victory over the Indian Valley Braves.

Trace Gibson was match medalist with a personal-low 34, while Charles Beachy and Emmet Royer posted 36s. Carter Miller also had a 43 for the Bucs.

Austen Gunn shot 40 for I.V., while Issac Stokey had a 45.

PERRY 166, LOUISVILLE 186

Perry topped the Louisville Leopards at the Legends of Massillon.

Jack Mayle shot a 41 to lead Louisville, while Cole Miller and Zach Root shot 48 each. Michael Filipowicz also added a 49.

Nolan Hannan shot a match-best 40 while receiving qualifying scores from Tyler DeRoy (41), Marshall Robbins (42), and Tyler Burkholder (43).

GIRLS GOLF

CARROLLTON 184, WEST BRANCH 199

Carrollton’s girls’ golf team advanced to 10-2 (7-2 EBC) with a 184-199 win over West Branch on Thursday.

Ashlee Garner led the Lady Warriors with a 44, while Mack Rummell, Olivia Nist (both 46), and Pheobe Moore (48) contributed to Carrollton’s victory.

Lachlan Cameron led West Branch at 41, while Shaylee Muckleroy shot 42.

BOYS SOCCER

CARROLLTON 8, SANDY VALLEY 1

Lawsin Irwin scored a hat trick in the first half of Carrollton’s 8-1 win in a boys soccer match with Sandy Valley on Thursday at Community Field.

Dennis Linhart also had two goals for the Warriors, while Landon Mclelland, Quentin Rosenberger, Andrew Steffen each scored once.

The Warriors led 5-0 at halftime.
