Carrollton’s cross country team participated in a pair of Saturday races, with the boys finishing 8th (out of ten teams) and the girls finishing third (eight teams) in the Northwest Cross Country Invitational at GlenOak High School.
Warriors runner Hillari Baker finished fourth overall on the individuals’ side with a total time of 22:06.07, while teammate Maddi Burgett finished eighth at 23:31.77.
The Carrollton girls finished third in the team division with an average time of 24:48.47. Rittman (23:11.82) won the girls’ event, with Pyper (20:33.16) and Merrick Gibson (21:22.85) taking first and second-place honors, respectively.
On the boys’ side, the Warriors’ top individual was Andy Lane, who finished thirteenth out of 88 runners with a 19:24.90 time. Ricky Sibila landed just behind Lane at fourteenth (19:26.50).
Coventry’s Tyson Denison (17:37.50) won the individual title, and the Comets also won the team division with an average time of 19:34.02.
